Master Flo valves are designed for ease of service and inspection, with the stationary trim components held in place by a retaining sleeve that’s held in mechanically rather than threaded into the valve body. This allows all of the internal components to be removed from the body quickly and easily without requiring special tools. Once the bonnet has been released, the entire retaining sleeve can be removed along with all of the internal components and the actuator (if applicable). In addition, the non-threaded trim enables trim components to be designed with the tightest tolerances possible.
The use of a retaining sleeve also provides maximum control of process media flow in the annular volume around the trim. The valve-body bore is isolated from the flow, which is directed to the nozzle ports. This significantly extends valve life by reducing erosion.
