Qualification Testing of New Large Bore Choke Valve Line Marks First Use of Master Flo’s New Hyperbaric Center

Houston, Texas (February 27, 2017)—Master Flo is pleased to announce that we recently conducted hyperbaric testing of our new large bore bolted bonnet CV750 choke valve line, and notched two significant achievements in the process: completion of the valve’s qualification testing, and the first use of our new Master Flo Hyperbaric Center in Houston. Both are the result of ongoing investment in new product development and technology throughout the industry downturn.

The qualification of the CV750 line positions Master Flo for a major project in the Asia Pacific. It’s the culmination of two years of research and development to provide our customers with a large bore valve that delivers effective flow control in a range between that of our P6 and P10 choke valves.

The world-class, custom-built hyperbaric chamber in which the new valve was tested is one of the largest of its kind in the United States. Its addition to our state-of-the-art testing facilities gives us the ability to test to pressures equivalent to a depth of 23,000-feet-below-sea-level. In-sourcing this critical testing operation reduces the risk and costs associated with product qualification, which in turn enables Master Flo to provide our customers with greater value. It also gives us another tool to tighten relationships with equipment houses and end-users by cooperating on technology development programs outside Master Flo.
