Contributing to the communities in which we operate is one of our guiding principles. Since our founding, we’ve supported local organizations that enhance the well-being of our customers, neighbors and families through education, health, social services, sports and recreation, and more. We don’t do it because it’s good for business. We do it because it’s part of our values and culture.
Our focus is local organizations that support youth, education and healthcare, and that our employees and customers support through volunteer and board service. They know their communities—and what their communities need—best. For example, in October 2014, the personal experiences of employees at Stream-Flo and Master Flo resulted in a month-long grassroots campaign in which team members raised $64,682.50 through a variety of activities. With 3-for-1 matching by the Stream-Flo Group of Companies, a total of $258,730 was presented to Edmonton’s Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation to purchase medical equipment. Similarly, we partner with the UMC Timothy J. Harnar Regional Burn Center each year to organize a charity golf tournament in Midland, Texas. And in 2015, instead of giving away door prizes at company Christmas parties, we donated over $20,000 to 18 food banks in Canada and the United States.
